The legal page, in plain words

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any school, any conference, the NCAA, or the College Football Playoff. Nobody at any of those places has seen these rankings before you did.

Team names and logos are trademarks of the schools they belong to. They appear here so you can tell which team a row is about, which is what trademark law calls nominative use.

The share cards carry school logos. They are embedded in the image itself, so a card still shows the right marks when somebody reposts it somewhere this site has no control over. Marks are drawn unaltered, at small size, never modified, and never used as this site’s own mark or in a way that suggests a school endorses anything here.

No logo files are sold, licensed on, or offered for download. If you are a rights holder and you would rather your school’s mark did not appear here, say so and it comes off. The switch that removes every mark from every page and every card already exists, so this is a change somebody makes in an afternoon rather than a negotiation.

The code is MIT. It is all in that same repository.

The game results and play data are republished from SportsDataverse under the MIT licence, which is the fact everything else rests on: it means anybody can rebuild every ranking here with no key, no account, and nobody’s permission.

Some team information comes from collegefootballdata.com. Their terms say attribution is not required and it is given anyway, everywhere the rankings appear. They supplied data and no rights in anybody’s trademark.

This site collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no login, and no form here that sends anything anywhere. The tuning page builds an email in your own mail app if you choose to send one, and nothing you type there is stored or transmitted unless you press send in your own client. Vercel, which serves the pages, keeps standard server logs. The school logos on these pages load from ESPN’s servers, so your browser makes those requests directly and ESPN sees them the way it sees any image request. Your light-or-dark choice is saved in your own browser and never leaves it.

These rankings are one person’s model and they come with no guarantee of any kind. They may contain errors, the data they read may contain errors, and the model is published precisely so you can find them. Nothing here is a professional service and nothing here is advice.

Do not bet on this. The model is built to be accurate about a season that has already happened and to make honest predictions about one that has not, and it publishes its own failure rate for exactly that reason. It is not a betting system, it has no edge to sell you, and no part of this site is an invitation to wager money.
